In this message, we’re going to take a look at Saul and how he became king. The Israelites were begging for God to give them a king like all the other nations. In other words, God as their King wasn’t good enough. So even though God’s perfect will would have been for Him to remain as their King, He granted them Saul as their king according to His permissive will. The difference between those two wills is what we’re going to talk about today, because I want you to learn how to live in more fear of rejection. No one likes rejection, right? Of course not! But if you’re asking for something that isn’t God’s best, rejection might just be the best thing for you. We’ll learn more about that as we read the story of Saul becoming king and hopefully learn how seek God’s perfect will above our own.
